This Homemade Baking Mix is a mixture of ingredients used for cooking some of your favorite baked goods. Making the mix in bulk will save you so much time when you want to make biscuits, cobbler and even pizza crust. It’s quick, tasty and a lot cheaper than the name brand baking mixes.
Have you bought a box of baking mix lately? Expensive isn’t it? I love the convenience and all of the things that you can do with it, but I sure don’t love the price. On my quest to creating simple, budget friendly recipes I decided to do a little experimenting to see if I could come up with a homemade version that didn’t break the bank. I’m happy to report that I did and not only is it a lot cheaper, but it works just as well and tastes so much better.
When I’m making up a batch of the baking mix, I usually double the recipe because I use so much of it. When I first created the mix I only used it for making biscuits, but with some experimenting over the years the list of uses has grown, that’s why I double it now. I use it for making pancakes, cakes, cookies, crusts, the list goes on and on. The best part about this mix is how easy it is to use and with a few added ingredients you can transform it into a number of different things.
