Homemade Enchilada Sauce. Making your own enchilada sauce is not always the cheapest option, but it is a tastier option. On occasion you might be able to find enchilada sauce for around a dollar, if you do be sure to stock up, otherwise try making your own with this easy and cheap recipe.

This is one of my favorite go-to recipes when I’m making Mexican food, it tastes so much better than the canned versions that you get at the store. What I love most about it is that it only uses a few ingredients and the ingredients can be found in almost any pantry.

I bet it tastes so much better than the canned version! I'm always looking for ways to make sauces from scratch. I love making enchiladas, it's been too long since I've had them!

Once I tried homemade enchilada sauce, I never wanted canned again! Your recipe is a bit different and easier/less mess than the recipe I currently use. Will have to try it out! Thank you for sharing.

I noticed for your BB wet burrito recipe you use 20 oz of enchilada sauce, so should I make extra if this for the recipe? I don’t want to throw off the enchilada sauce / gravy balance.

You shouldn’t have to throw any away, the burritos should be swimming in the enchilada/gravy sauce.
