Avocado Lime Dipping Sauce – A simple, creamy sauce that adds a layer of delicious flavor to so many dishes. It can be used on fish, chicken, over pasta, as a dip for chips and of course served with your favorite Mexican dishes.
What’s your favorite fruit? If I had to pick my favorite fruit it would have to be avocados, yes Virgina they are a fruit, in fact they’re considered a berry. Growing up surrounded by avocado trees might explain my passion for this amazing fruit.
What I love most about it, is how versatile it is. It can be eaten by itself, with a little salt of course, it can be tossed on a salad, it can be mashed up and made into guacamole, it can be used in salsa and it can be made into a delicious sauce.
One of my favorite sauces using avocados is Avocado Lime Sauce, it’s both easy and delicious. I use it all of the time on pasta, over fish or chicken, as a dip and as a dressing for salad. However, the other night I found a new use. I had made Pollo Asada Flautas and my plan was to serve them with guacamole then it occurred to me that the avocado lime sauce might be a better choice. The pollo asada had been marinated in citrus and the avocado lime sauce has an amazing citrus flavor, so I gave it a try and was not disappointed. They were amazing together!!!
