About five years ago I had a pretty painful neck injury, luckily it didn’t require surgery, however my neck hasn’t been the same since. Then a couple of years ago I was diagnosed with severe advanced arthritis in my neck. Because of all this trauma to my neck, it has become very weak. I spend a great deal of time laying down because of the pain, caused from holding my head up for to long.
This sedentary lifestyle has really taken a real toll on my health. My blood pressure has skyrocketed, my energy has plummeted and, of course, my waistline has expanded. It’s time I do something about it!
Over these last five years, I have gone from a healthy 120 pounds to 165.1, I can hardly believe that I’ve gained that much weight. It’s not just the weight that bothers me though, it’s how it has changed me. I used to be super confident and constantly on the go, but with this extra weight, not so much anymore.
Ironically, Personal Trainer Food contacted me and asked if I wanted to review their meal plan. They said that they had a proven approach where I could lose up to 20 pounds in just 4 weeks. I was game, 20 pounds in 4 weeks, that sounded amazing to me. So of course I agreed to give it a shot!
A few days later, FedEx pulled up to my door with a huge, insulated box packed full of an assortment of food. I was really excited to dive in, not just to see what they sent, but also to get this wellness journey started. As I checked out all of the items that were in the box, it became clear to me that losing this weight was going to be easier than I thought. Every item I pulled out, looked and sounded delicious, I certainly wasn’t going to go hungry. Honestly, there was only one item that didn’t appeal to me, everything else was great.
Now that I have a game plan and a freezer full of food, thanks Personal Trainer Food, I’m ready to get started. My goal is to follow all of their suggestions and watch the numbers on the scale decrease (quickly). Personally I would like to see the number on the scale read 125 by the end of my wellness journey, we’ll see how it goes.
Check back with me next week and I’ll share how the first week went. From everything that I’ve read, there’s sure to be some noticeable changes. Wish me luck! 🙂

I understand what you have been through, it can be a terrible period of time. I’m glad that you have decided to act and make some changes now. Never too late! I’m on my way learning to adopt a healthy lifestyle too. I’m pretty busy as a golf lover, but I definitely have to take care of myself well! Thank you for your sharing!
