Chili is one of my favorite meals to make, not just because it tastes so good but because it can be used for so many different things. When I make a pot of chili I usually double or even triple the recipe and freeze the leftovers.

The leftover chili seems to taste so much better the second time around, being topped with some sour cream and served with a few saltines. However the chili can be used for so much more. I like it for topping hot dogs, french fries and nachos, but it also tastes amazing mixed in with a pot of macaroni and cheese. I’ve even put it on hamburgers and used it as a side dish. There never seems to be a complaint when I serve chili.

There are so many ways to serve a bowl of chili, you can top it with a little cheese or some sour cream, you can serve it over some cornbread or a potato or just eat it plain. My favorite way to eat a bowl of chili is topping it with some crushed up, homemade ranch crackers, I love the flavor that they add.If you’ve never had ranch crackers before you should be very careful when trying them for the first time, they are kinda’ addicting. And… the worst part is that they are really easy to make so you may find yourself making then a lot.
