Baked Citrus Ginger Tilapia – This is an easy dish that can be served in less than 30 minutes. The fish is light and flaky and gets a boost of flavor from the fresh citrus and ginger.

I don’t know if I’ve said this before, but tilapia is one of my favorites. It doesn’t have a strong fishy smell, it’s easy to cook and best of all it is extremely affordable.

Baked Tilapia

Because tilapia is so affordable I’m always looking for new ways to prepare it. I had some oranges that I had picked up earlier in the week, they were on sale, and I thought that they would go great with tilapia and wow did they ever. The fish got such a nice boost of flavor that even the kids enjoyed it.

Citrus Ginger Tilapia
Serves: 4
This is an easy dish that can be served in less than 30 minutes. The fish is light and flakey and gets a boost of flavor from the fresh citrus and ginger.
Serve with:
Brown Rice

Ingredients
Directions

Prepare according to recipe
1 cup
brown rice
Prepare according to package directions

tilapia fillets
ground ginger
salt & pepper
orange, sliced
lemon, sliced
Place fish on foil. Sprinkle with ginger, salt & pepper. Top with orange and lemon slices. Seal closed and bake for 15-20 minutes at 375°.
