Schools out for Summer!!
This means sleeping in, staying up late, binge watching Netflix, and hours of gaming. Tell me, what kid doesn’t think this when that last bell rings.
I’m going to let my little MIT’s (men in training) hold on to this fantasy for a couple of days, they’ve earned it! However, despite what they think, summer will NOT be spent, sitting on their bums absorbing gamma rays. They are going to be outside running around absorbing sun rays.
To get them outdoors, and eventually asking to go, I’ve put together a full calendar of outdoor activities. Here are just a few of the things that we have planned.
Outdoor Activities
I’m really looking forward to all of the outdoor activities that are planned, eventually, the MIT’s will too. For better or for worse this is going to be a summer they will never forget. It may be remembered as the year that mom kept them away from video games, but they won’t forget it.
What do you have planned to get your kids outdoors and away from the electronics?

Hi Robin! I recognize a few of these but some are brand new to me. I love it! I have been wanting to have a Backyard Movie Night for years! I hope to check this off this summer for sure! Thanks so much for sharing with us at Turn It Up Tuesday!

We’ve been wanting to do a backyard movie night too. We just bought a projector from the pawn shop (cheaper) and we are going to have our first neighborhood movie night next week. Can’t wait.
