Indulge in a guilt-free dessert with this delicious recipe for low-calorie, low-fat, low-carb brownies. These brownies offer a rich chocolate flavor and moist texture without compromising your dietary goals. Perfect for those following a keto lifestyle or anyone looking for a healthier dessert option.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup erythritol (or another low-carb sweetener of your choice)
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1/4 cup sugar-free dark chocolate chips for extra chocolaty goodness

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven & Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal, and lightly grease it.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together almond flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, beat eggs with erythritol until light and fluffy. Mix in unsweetened applesauce and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gently fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined. If using, fold in sugar-free dark chocolate chips.
  5. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean.
  6. Cool & Serve: Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before lifting them out using the parchment paper. Cut into squares and serve.
