Biscuits are a staple in our house, we eat them for breakfast, lunch, dinner and even snacks. Our obsession with biscuits gets a little expensive, especially if I use the pre-made kind or even the baking mixes. To lower our biscuit budget, I set out to create a cheap and easy recipe for a homemade baking mix.
These yummy biscuits were made from a baking mix, not the kind that you buy at the store, that would be to expensive. These were actually made from a homemade baking mix that we call BakeQuick Mix. It got it’s name because of all of the quick baking you can do by using it, for instance these biscuits.
This mix is not only inexpensive but really handy to have on hand. On nights when I’m really busy and want to get dinner on the table quickly, all I have to do is whip up some of the mix with a little water and drop them on a baking sheet. However, on nights when I have a little more time I can use the same recipe, roll out the dough and cut some perfectly round biscuits. Either way that you choose to make them they’ll be a hit and won’t break the bank.
